A couple of years ago a friend of mine introduced me to a book called Microworlds by Margherita Dessany. It is a wonderful book filled with whimsical images of tiny people photographed in the world at large. The juxtaposition delighted me, and for a long time, I've wanted to play with the idea myself, just for fun. That's what I'm doing here. But, before I do, please check out some of the artists who have inspired me below.

Margherita Dessany

There are probably many more artists, but these are the ones I know about. If you have some favourites, please leave me a comment, and I'll be happy to add them to the list.

The inspiration of this collection of mine will be drawn from the everyday happenings in my own life -- the ordinary things we do as we live and learn. I want to bring some fun to them. A lightness. Some humour. And maybe even a little magic. I hope you enjoy my world!

Mooning

Okay. This is getting to be quite enough! All week long I've been driving around getting strange looks from people. Some laughed, but most seemed to be offended by the very presence of my car. I was starting to get pretty irritated, not being one to welcome unsolicited attention. Yesterday I actually gave one guy the finger. Today, I was unpacking my groceries from the trunk of the car. My husband accidentally hit the break pedal when he was getting out of the driver's side, drawing my attention upward toward the light where I find these bozos standing there mooning me! Now I feel bad about giving that guy the finger.

Spying on a Spy

I've heard it said that it was possible for someone to hack into a computer to spy on a person through their webcam.  I've never given that much thought...until today.  While I was watching my son play a game on his computer, and I had this feeling like I was being watched.  I couldn't shake it.  The hairs on the back of my neck were standing up.  Cold chills ran through my body.  Slowly, I looked over at his webcam.  Not only was someone watching us, they were taking pictures of us!  Creepy.  I took a picture of him before he made his escape.  I'll be reporting this for sure.
